Lee Min Woo (Ha Joon) trains hard with an edge of violence. A stranger on the bench tells Ji Cheol that kids are like. She points out he does the same to Mom and her. She snaps that his apologetic deference to the mother and daughter pair was upsetting. Young Sun isn’t happy with her father after the meeting. Young Sun holds her tongue and endures her father’s apologizing. The classmate enjoys taunting Young Sun that quality bags cost more than knockoffs. Ji Cheol pays the compensation fee to the mother and classmate of his daughter, Yoo Young Sun (Shin Eun Soo). Ji Cheol knows he has to buy his house or be evicted. Yong Dae tries to talk Ji Cheol into taking the money for the seven fights. Is the ZD promoter paid by Min Woo to lure Ji Cheol back into the ring for another fight? Is Min Woo the single villain out to get Ji Cheol or are there others? That second briefcase of cash would tempt anyone. Yong Dae follows his client out the door. Ji Cheol puts the stack of bills back in the suitcase, nods, and leaves. The ZD promoter counters that age is important but the only number that matters is the amount of money he can earn for his family. Ji Cheol scoffs he’s to old to discuss his potential.
The man encourages Ji Cheol to believe in his potential. That would get my attention! Yong Dae can’t believe it. The ZD promoter chuckles and directs his assistant to open a second suitcase of money. Ji Cheol picks up a stack of bills and asks if there’s been a miscalculation. He assures Ji Cheol that he believes he is worth it. The ZD promoter says that winning or being the strongest isn’t everything. He hisses that Ji Cheol is crazy to walk away. Yong Dae can’t believe it and declares Ji Cheol isn’t feeling well. He dangles bonuses for wins as another incentive.
The ZD promoter offering the deal declares even if Ji Cheol loses all seven cage fights, the money is his. Kim Yong Dae (David Lee) is mesmerized by a suitcase of $500,000 offered to Ji Cheol as a signing bonus for seven fights. We see a young Yong Dae mesmerized while others around him rejoice. Ji Cheol walks through the crowd with his wife and young daughter. In a boxing stadium in Japan Yoo Ji Cheol (Jang Hyuk) has beaten the Japanese fighter.
